The £300 million Civic and Cultural Quarter is set to transform 25 acres of Doncaster’s town centre into a popular destination. The regeneration scheme will totally revitalise a declining part of the town centre delivering a range of 21st Century facilities.
The flagship development will take six to eight years to complete and initial demolition work has started on site. Once complete the project will have delivered Doncaster’s first public square, a new performance venue, new civic offices, a new library and art showcase area, various leisure developments including a new swimming pool, a four star hotel, town centre housing, additional shopping and commercial offices.
The scheme will create 1200 permanent jobs and give a significant boost to Doncaster's economy.
The Council has appointed Muse Developments to ensure the delivery of the Civic and Cultural Quarter and regeneration of Waterdale.
